Ancestry Chapter 22

1905 or later - Alfons in Military Service, Prussia
(click photos/documents to see details)

Alfons Tibus in the Prussian military.  In the group photograph Alfons is seated on the left.  Since he is now a fully trained baker, it is not surprising that he is with the cooking section.

He told stories of his unit always on the move and no time, no supplies, so he served up some rabbits.

The other photo is his formal military photograph.  The time is probably 1905-1906.

His sister Antonia is in Chicago, and left at home are Augusta and Michael Tybus with their two youngest surviving children, Anna and the brother whose name is not known.

Alfons will also leave West Prussia for Chicago.  The Tibus family in West Prussia will remain small.
