Anna and Joe's first child, Muriel Bernice, was born in 1922. Both given names are used here because someone was called "Bernice" at times, and probably it was Anna's first child.
Genevieve born, 1923, Chicago
Cecilia and Matt's fifth child, Genevieve (Ginger), was born in 1923. Cecilia’s family now outnumbers the family of her sister Lucy.

Michael Jr. goes to work, 1923, Chicago
Michael Jr., the oldest of the second-batchers, completes grammar school and starts to work to help support the family. He is 13˝. The family needed the financial help. Michael Jr. started High School at night school but was thrown out when they discovered he wasn't 16 yet.
